• This data is collected only when you select a compatibility reading (such as Soul Bond) and is used exclusively for that purpose

Payment Data

• Payments are processed entirely by Stripe, a certified PCI-DSS Level 1 payment processor
• We never store, see or have access to your card number, CVV or full payment details
• We retain only a Stripe payment reference ID and transaction status

Usage Data

• Pages visited, features used and time spent on the platform
• Readings purchased and reading history
• Actions taken within your account (reading preferences, pet updates)

Technical Data

• IP address and approximate geographic location
• Browser type and version
• Device type and operating system
• Referring URL

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

Service Delivery

• To generate personalized AI readings using your pet's (and optionally your own) birth and profile data via the Anthropic Claude API
• To create and manage your account and securely store your readings
• To process your payments through Stripe

Communications

• To send transactional emails such as reading confirmations and welcome messages via Resend
• To send re-engagement emails with personalized content — you can unsubscribe from these at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email

Platform Improvement

• To analyze usage patterns and improve the quality, accuracy and variety of readings
• To identify and fix technical issues

What We Never Do

• We never sell your personal data to third parties
• We never use your data for advertising or retargeting on third-party platforms
• We never share your data except as described in Section 5 below

4. AI-Generated Readings Disclaimer

All readings on AstroSign.pet are generated by artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) using astrological and metaphysical frameworks. They are provided for entertainment, spiritual exploration and personal reflection purposes only.

AstroSign readings are not a substitute for veterinary advice, medical diagnosis, psychological counseling or any other form of professional advice. Please consult a qualified professional for health, behavioral or medical concerns about your pet.

Astrological and metaphysical interpretations are inherently subjective. We make no claims of scientific accuracy, predictive certainty or guaranteed outcomes. The insights offered are intended to be thought-provoking and entertaining, not authoritative.

5. Data Sharing

We share your data only with the following trusted service providers, and only to the extent necessary to deliver our service:

All providers are GDPR compliant and operate under appropriate data processing agreements. We do not transfer your data to countries outside the EU/EEA without adequate safeguards.

• Account and reading data: Retained for as long as your account is active. If you do not use your account for 3 years, we may send you a notice before deletion.
• Deleted accounts: Upon account deletion, your personal data and readings will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
• Payment records: Retained for 7 years to comply with applicable financial and tax regulations.
• Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.
